FieldView getting an overhaul for HPC Server [UPDATE]

Last week Intelligent Light announced it was working on a newly parallelized version of its FieldView products for Win CCS and HPC Server.

With the goal of expanding access to high-performance computing resources for CFD and CAE practitioners worldwide, Intelligent Light is working with Microsoft to deliver new capabilities for the mid-range technical computing market. The collaboration will bring expertise and accessibility together as a part of a turnkey end-to-end solution stack for simulation driven organizations.

According to a representative at the company I spoke (emailed?) with, the parallel version will be available near the end of Q2 2008.

[Update: something that I didn't make very clear is that you can use FieldView on a Win CCS system right now in client server mode, which might be useful if you wanted to run multiple instances for example. What's being added is a parallelized back end to support very large single jobs.]
