HP has announced that its expanded its midsized portfolio with a new line of ProLiant servers. The announcement isn’t just hardware though; the company has built what it calls Midmarket Business Solutions that serve as implementation blueprints for companies wanting to deploy a larger infrastructure, but without the resources to manage the whole project in house (or the money to hire a team to do it for them).
This story is relevant to us because its precisely this kind of expertise that companies like HP and others are going to have to gain in fielding total solutions as they try to bring HPC into small and midsize businesses.
The new hardware includes four new or updated server platforms (all available now or within the next 90 days) along with new features in its remote management offering. Check it all out in the announcement.
