Univa UD announces UniCluster 5.0

This week Univa UD announced the latest rev of their UniCluster platform. This release includes scalability to “over” 7,000 nodes, web-based API, a single management application, and the ability to support both OpenSolaris and Linux compute nodes. From the release

“UniCluster 5.0 delivers a higher level of functionality and performance for technical computing users looking for simplified and integrated management and provisioning tools,” said Gary Tyreman, SVP of products and alliances at Univa. “With an unparalleled level of scalability and heterogeneity, the UniCluster stack offers lower total cost of ownership and features not common to other open source toolkits for commercial users.”
