In this video recorded 10/31/2012, Leo Laporte interviews Jonathan Schwartz, former CEO at Sun Microsystems. Schwartz discusses what happened to the company and the lessons learned for his new project CareZone. Along the way, he shares his views on the trouble HP is facing as a system provider.
It’s a tough environment,” said Schwartz. “If you look at what Meg Whitman is going through at HP, you know, we sold Sun for about $8 Billion or so. I haven’t checked HP’s market cap recently, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were sold for what Sun was sold for because there’s not a lot of IP there that’s going to be sustainable.”
