Panasas has announced that they grew revenues and expanded their customer base by 25% in the first quarter of 2009, compared to Q1 of 2008. New customers in aerospace, energy exploration, financial and portfolio analysis, climate modeling, government, manufacturing design and genetic research helped to expand their bottom line.
Users are constantly concerned about the performance and capacity file systems and file servers can offer,” said Benjamin S. Woo, vice president, enterprise storage systems at industry analyst firm, IDC. “The Panasas architecture addresses these concerns by reducing traditional storage bottlenecks to deliver improved performance that is demanded by users in all industries. Given the downturn in the economy, the ability to deliver the right data at improved speed and efficiency will create a competitive advantage.”
