A little inside baseball, but you may be interested to know that SC has been listed on the annual ranking of the 200 largest US trade shows for the second year running (shows are ranked by square feet of exhibit space)
SC, the annual conference recognized globally as the premier international conference on high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis, http://supercomputing.org announced today it has been named to the 2008 Tradeshow Week Top 200 list of the largest U.S. trade shows, for the second year in a row, as ranked by Tradeshow Week magazine. Despite the difficult economic challenges faced by so many companies, SC’s placement among this elite group of conference exhibitions, demonstrates the loyalty of the SC conference participating organizations and the importance of the SC conference series as a sustaining international event.
The full list appears to be available only to subscribers, and it hasn’t yet started making the rounds, so I can’t tell where on the list we are. But since the top two have 2.2 and 1.9 million square feet of exhibit space each, and Sc09 has 265,000 sq ft, I’m thinking we’re in the bottom third. Good to be ranked, though.
