Intro to Ranger from Cornell

The Cornell Center for Advanced Computing is holding a free workshop to orient users (and potential users) to parallel computing on TACC’s Ranger, courtesy of the NSF (sponsor of the TeraGrid)

The two-day workshop will focus on parallel computing on Ranger, the 3,936 node, 579 peak teraflops Linux Sun cluster located at the Texas Advanced Computing Center, although the concepts of this workshop will readily transfer to other high-performance computing platforms. There is no fee for this workshop.

The training will cover the hardware and software, the programming environment, and parallel programming concepts using OpenMP and MPI. To register for the workshop, please visit portal.teragrid.org/training. Questions regarding the workshop may be directed to CAC help.
