One of our most popular video posts last week showed how to set up an HPC Cluster on the Amazon Cloud. Having viewed the video, Cloud pundit Miha Ahronovitz had this to say:
Nice demo. It looks simpler than it is in reality, as it assumes we have already in the library all AMI (Amazon Machine Interfaces) we need. If we don’t we need to build one, and this “simple” task” has a learning curve, even for developers, never mind users. For comparison, let’s watch CloudSigma instructional, step by step videos. It is in my opinion, easier to use than EC2 Amazon. No special PaaS software. No AMI.
