Video: Exabyte.io Startup Makes Supercomputing Easier

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In this video from the San Francisco HPC Meetup, Timur Bazhirov shows how easy it is to use supercomputing through Exabyte.io. Now available as a free trial, Exabyte offers a cloud-based simulation platform that you don’t need to be a computer scientist to use.

I’m a physics graduate student primarily studying two-dimensional materials with angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy,” says Ed Lochocki. “Exabyte allows me to complete computationally intensive calculations (like DFT structural relaxation on supercells) that otherwise would be prohibitively time consuming. Instead of buying new computers or trying to recruit a theorist, I can conveniently access powerful cloud computers through a simple yet flexible interface. As an added bonus, I don’t have to worry about updating the code or maintaining any infrastructure!”
