Job of the Week: Computational Scientist at the University of Oregon

The University of Oregon High Performance Computing Research Core Facility (HPCRCF) is seeking a Computational Scientist in our Job of the Week. The HPCRCF is a new facility located on the campus of the UO in Eugene, Oregon. The mission of the HPCRCF is to support computational research at the UO and collaborating institutions, and is home to a new flagship research cluster.

In their role as an HPC facilitator, the Computational Scientist will serve as an application, tool, library, and programming specialist. They will assist researchers in the effective use of central research computing resources, including the flagship HPC cluster, both in one-on-one interactions and group training sessions and workshops. Successful applicants will have a documented history of providing user training and/or classroom education. Applicants who have experience with parallel file systems, NVidia GPUs, parallel computing, and/or big data tools are especially encouraged to apply. Prior research experience is a plus.
