Podcast: Brent Gorda on the State of Lustre at ISC 2017

On the latest Top500 list, Lustre leads the pack with 9 systems in the Top 10 and 75 of the Top 100 systems.


 
After that, Brent describes his new role at CEO quest, where he will coach startup CEOs across the globe that lead companies involved in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & High-Performance Computing. Gorda brings 30 years of leadership, entrepreneurship, and expertise in technology to his new role.

Gorda comes to CEO Quest from Intel Corporation, where he was General Manager for the High-Performance Data Division. Intel acquired Whamcloud, the company Gorda founded and led as CEO, in 2012. Previously, he led advanced technology projects at Lawrence Livermore Labs and led the technical computing community in the transition from vector to parallel computing and then again to massively parallel computing. Gorda is a frequent keynote speaker in big data and high-performance computing circles and has been on the leading edge of developments in this space for the last several decades.
