Another box for your computers: Verari’s container

Someone must know something about the containerized computing business that’s good. The customer adoption that Rackable and Sun have talked about publicly isn’t exactly broad — four sites that we know of at Sun.

Ah well, the wheels of capitalism continue to turn, and undaunted by a small population of customers, Verari has created a containerized computing solution. It’s called FOREST for Flexible Open Reliable Energy efficient Scalable and Transportable data center, and can hold up to 1400 blade-based compute servers or nearly 12 petabytes of blade-based storage.
