The Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Computer Science Department is hiring a tenure-track faculty position in our HPC Job of the Week.
The Computer Science Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, is seeking a full-time, academic year, Computer Engineering/Computer Science at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank beginning no later than 9/15/2016. The selected candidate will have Computer Science as their home department. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Duties include teaching undergraduate and master’s level courses, enriching the development of new curricula in high-performance computing and conducting research. Particular areas of focus include: parallel computing architectures, and programming models including massively parallel accelerators, distributed computing systems, scientific computing, computational modeling and visualization. Specific assignments will depend on department needs. Outcomes assessment and Learn by Doing are important components of the university curricula. Faculty members are also expected to engage in service activities at all levels of the university and to provide academic and professional advising to students.
