This is a cool idea…Jeff Squyres has posted at Cluster Monkey that he’s just made a bunch of MPI video training material available from the Open MPI site.
Over the past year or two, I have been slowly creating a large set of Open MPI training material that I’ve used to present to my company’s customers and partners. I have just recently received permission to release video presentations of all of my slides to the greater HPC community. Woo hoo!
I’m glad he took the time and effort to make these materials available. I know from very firsthand experience what it takes to produce something like this, and even the stuff that looks “easy” takes time and effort to produce…sometimes a lot of time and effort. Thanks for making the effort.
Vids here.
[ed: My original title indicated that Cluster Monkey was hosting the videos. I changed that to reflect the fact that the videos are actually hosted by Open MPI.]
Many thanks! I hope you all find the videos useful.
One minor nit: the videos are hosted on the Open MPI web site, not the Cluster Monkey site. The link to the videos in this article is correct, but the title implies that CM hosts the videos.
Thanks for helping spread the word!
Jeff – you’re right. I’ll make a change. Thanks again for putting these together…and stay in touch if you do more of this kind of thing.
