This position is the CSCF Program’s Operations and Maintenance Lead. This position is responsible for managing a small team of geographically diverse System Administrators in a Research and Development (R&D), Multi User High Performance Computer (HPC), Multi Level Secure (MLS) Data Center on a 5×12 schedule.

In addition to managing team personnel and schedule, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining system availability above the contract threshold.

Candidate will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems including coordinating with other internal groups and external groups. In addition to team lead duties, the position may require Linux support duties to including setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system and disk performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

You will interact with users, program management, and government personnel. The Lead is involved in developing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinating installations, providing backup recovery, and ensuring off-site disaster recovery is maintained.

The program is involved in efforts to develop scientific software and libraries for HPC platforms.
