Berkeley Lab is seeking a Computer Science Postdoctoral Scholar in our Job of the Week.

Berkeley Lab’s Computational Research Division has an opening for a Computer Science Postdoctoral Scholar. Develop performance modeling and analytical capabilities and tools for manycore and GPU-accelerated supercomputers and apply them to distributed memory Office of Science applications running on such platforms.

What You Will Do:

  • Create performance tools and capabilities that visualize application and kernel performance in terms of available DRAM bandwidth, cache bandwidth, computational resources, and application computational characteristics.
  • Use such tools to evaluate Office of Science application performance on manycore and GPU-accelerated supercomputers.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team involving computer scientists, mathematicians, and domain scientists with the purpose of developing and deploying these codes for the solution of scientific and engineering problems.
  • Document work and results in the form of journal papers and conference proceedings.
