Today Bright Computing announced a reseller agreement with San Diego-based SingleParticle.com. The company specializes in turn-key HPC infrastructure designed for high performance and low total cost of ownership (TCO), serving the global research community of cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM). “With Bright, the management of an HPC cluster becomes very straightforward, empowering end users to administer their workloads, rather than relying on HPC experts,” said Dr. Clara Cai, Manager at SingleParticle.com. “We are confident that with Bright’s technology, our customers can maintain our turn-key cryoEM cluster with little to no prior HPC experience.”

HPC Innovation Excellence Awards announced by Hyperion Research

At ISC 2017, Hyperion Research announced the newest recipients of the HPC Innovation Excellence Award. The program’s main objectives are to showcase return on investment (ROI) and success stories involving HPC; to help other users better understand the benefits of adopting HPC; and to help justify HPC investments, including for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs). “There are three awards categories, including the HPC User Innovation Award, the HPC Data Center Innovation Award; and the HPC Vendor Innovation Award. The judgement process for these awards is fair and clear.”

Hyperion Research Recognizes Bright Computing for their Integration with Azure

SGI and DDN Power UK Met Office SPICE System for Weather and Climate Research

SGI, Bright Computing, and DDN recently announced that the UK Met Office has selected the three HPC vendors to provide HPC for its new Scientific Processing and Intensive Compute Environment (SPICE) system. SPICE will enable weather and climate researchers to dramatically reduce time required to analyze massive amounts of climate simulation data.

Bright OpenStack Powers HPC at Stony Brook University
