Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, the iRODS Consortium is transitioning their annual in-person User Group Meeting to a virtual event. The 12th annual iRODS UGM begins online Tuesday, June 9 and will feature presentations from the user community and the core development team, including use cases, demonstrations, and open discussions about requested iRODS features. HPCNow! is working hard on the organization of the HPC Knowledge Meeting’20, which this year is going to be held from 18 to 19 June 2020. However, due to the current situation caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic outbreak, the HPC Knowledge Meeting’20 is going to be a 100% online event. This approach will help to develop a more sustainable event and it will also avoid possible cancellations due to the threat of Coronavirus. Online attendance is free, but registration is required. Over the last few years, Machine Learning (and in particular Deep Learning) (ML / DL) has become an important research topic in the High Performance Computing (HPC) community. Bringing new users and data intensive applications on HPC systems, ML / DL is increasingly affecting the design and operation of compute infrastructures. On the other hand, the ML / DL community is just getting started to utilize the performance of HPC, leaving many opportunities for better parallelization and scalability. The intent of this virtual workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss three key topics in the context of High Performance Computing and Machine Learning / Deep Learning: parallelization and scaling of ML / DL algorithms, ML / DL applications on HPC systems, and HPC systems design and optimization for ML / DL workloads. FortranCon 2020 is the first International Conference targeting the development for and with the Fortran programming language and will take place on July 2 - 4 in Zurich, Switzerland. In recent years Fortran has seen a series of new standards, improving the language in regards to object-oriented, parallel and general-purpose programming. This has spurred the development of several new projects written in and for Fortran, helping the Fortran programmers - in particular, the scientific community - to modernize their code and make it more maintainable. With this conference, we intend to bring together active Fortran project developers from all fields: library and tool developers as well as people using Fortran to develop scientific applications, to share their experience and exchange ideas. The European Quantum Technologies Conference (EQTC) is the international conference of the European Quantum Flagship initiative, which collaboratively advances quantum technologies and places Europe at the forefront of the second quantum revolution, bringing transformative advances to science, industry and society. EQTC 2020 will be held in Dublin (Ireland) on 23-27 November 2020, the second annual European Quantum Technologies Conference after the first at Grenoble in February 2019.
