Quantum Corporation Optimizes Data Intensive Workloads at ISC 2018

In this video from ISC 2018, Laura Shepard and Jason Coari from Quantum Corporation describe how the company’s high speed storage solutions power AI & HPC applications. “At ISC, Quantum highlighted end-to-end storage capabilities for large-scale HPC environments. Quantum offerings featured at their exhibit included high-performance Xcellis scale-out storage appliances to support data-intensive processing workflows, and StorNext HSM for automated migration of extremely large data sets to cost-effective storage tiers such as tape, object storage and the cloud.”

Quantum to Showcase End-to-End HPC Storage at ISC 2018

Today Quantum Corp. announced plans to showcase end-to-end storage capabilities for large-scale HPC environments at ISC 2018 in Frankfurt. “As storage requirements for sensor generated data, scientific research and advanced supercomputing resources evolve, Quantum continues to invest in a solution stack and technology ecosystem to manage the largest file counts and most demanding storage environments on the globe,” said Molly Presley, vice president, product management and global marketing at Quantum.

Quantum Corp Joins iRODS Consortium

Today Quantum Corp. announced the company has joined the iRODS Consortium, the foundation that leads development and support of the integrated Rule-Oriented Data System (iRODS). “Quantum is a leader in scale-out storage and they will offer great insight into their customers’ data management needs,” said Mark Pastor, archive solution marketing director, Quantum. “This is essential for software that is driven by the requirements of the user community. The addition of Xcellis Scale-out NAS to the body of product offerings that have been tested with iRODS shows great promise for the iRODS user community.”

Quantum Launches Scale-out NAS for High-Value and Data-Intensive Workloads

There is a gap in the market between NAS systems designed for enterprise data management and HPC solutions designed for data-intensive workloads,” said Molly Presley, vice president, Global Marketing, Quantum. “Xcellis Scale-out NAS fills this gap with the features needed by enterprises and the performance required by HPC in a single solution. Xcellis uniquely delivers capacity with the economics of tape and cloud and integrated AI for advanced data insights and can even support traditional block storage demands within the same platform.”
