Allinea Tools to Power NEC Supercomputer at VSC in Belgium

The Flemish Supercomputer Center (VSC) is planning the deployment of a new NEC cluster that will represent Belgium’s largest investment in HPC to date. To help VSC unleash the potential of the system, Allinea software tools will be used to speed up code performance. “We are delighted to be supporting VSC in providing better education to its users around code efficiency,” said David Lecomber, CEO and Founder of Allinea. “The fact of the matter is, without visibility of code performance, researchers cannot get the full value from HPC. By appreciating how their code makes a difference to project delivery, researchers can achieve more for less cost. By underlining this best practice, VSC’s approach is one that is refreshing and makes great economic sense.”

Allinea Tools Help Deliver 30% Performance Boost in Reservoir Simulation

Today Allinea reports that developers of Roxar Software Solutions at Emerson Process Management used the Allinea Forge to increase the performance of their Tempest MORE next-generation reservoir simulator by 30 percent.

New Allinea 6.0 HPC Developer Tools Suite

Today Allinea released version 6.0 of their HPC development tools suite Allinea Forge and Performance Reports. Building on their commitment to serving the scientific HPC community, Allinea demonstrated the new features at SC15 last month in Austin.

Four Reasons that Software Development is in the HPC Driving Seat for 2016

“Just as representative benchmarks like HPCG are set to replace Linpack, so a focus on software is taking over. From industry analysts to users at SC15 we heard that software is the number one challenge and the number one opportunity to have world-class impact.”

Allinea to Extend Performance Tools at SC15

Allinea Software will demonstrate significant extensions to their Forge integrated development tool suite and Performance Reports analytics tool at SC15. “Version 6.0 of both products delivers for developers, users, analysts and system administrators – not only on Intel Xeon and Xeon Phi platforms, but also ARM 64-bit and OpenPOWER platforms.”

Allinea Forge Sparks Convergent Science Combustion Simulation

Convergent Science reports that the company has adopted the Allinea Forge development tool suite. As the leader in internal combustion engine (ICE) simulation, Convergent Science is using Allinea to increase the capability and performance of the company’s CONVERGE software.

Allinea Releases ARM 64-bit Development Tool Suite

Today Allinea Software announced that their Allinea Forge development tool suite is now available for ARM platforms. The tool suite, renowned for its ability to master multi-process and multi-threaded Linux applications, includes the powerful performance profiler Allinea MAP and debugger Allinea DDT.
