Horst Simon to be Program Chair for ISC 2018

ISC 2017 may be just around the corner, but the conference team is already busy planning the show for next year. Today they announced that Prof Horst Simon will be the ISC 2018 program chair. “ISC 2018 topics will embrace a range of subject matter critical to the development of the high performance computing field, which, in return, impacts the quality of human life.”

ISC 2016 Workshop Papers Available as Free Download

Workshop Papers from ISC 2016 are now available as a free download. “The 21 workshops were held on June 26, 2016 at the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel with over 600 registered attendees, about 170 presentations, and over a dozen panel discussions. These workshops provided a focused, in-depth platform with presentations, discussions, and interaction on topics related to all aspects of research, development, and application of large-scale, high-performance experimental and commercial systems.”

Today ISC 2016 announced the awards-winning research papers for the PRACE ISC Award and the Gauss Award.

Registration Opens for ISC 2016

Registration now open for ISC High Performance, the largest high performance computing forum in Europe. By registering between now and May 11, attendees can save over 45 percent off the onsite registration rates. Now in its 31st year, the ISC High Performance conference and exhibition will be held from June 19 – 23 in Frankfurt.

Interview: ISC Cloud Absorbs into ISC 2016

Panasas Rolls Out ActiveStor 18 Scale-out NAS Appliance

Today Panasas announced ActiveStor 18, its latest generation hybrid scale-out NAS appliance. By adopting 8 terabyte drive technology, ActiveStor 18 increases scalability to more than 20 petabytes and 200 gigabytes per second. According to Panasas, ActiveStor 18 also offers increased CPU power and twice the storage cache capacity to further accelerate mixed workload performance.

ISC 2015 to Draw 2600 HPC Enthusiasts Next Week

Today ISC 2015 forecasted that a record 2600 HPC enthusiasts from 53 countries and 153 exhibitors will make their way to Frankfurt for the ISC High Performance conference and exhibition. Registration is still open for the event, which takes place July 12-16 at the Frankfurt Messe in Hall 3.
