Intel Optane comes to new Inspur Storage Products

Inspur recently launched all-flash storage systems with dual-port Intel Optane SSDs. “With the Optane SSD as the high-speed cache layer, AS5000G5-F combines innovative technologies such as intelligent data layering, on-board hardware acceleration and online compression/deduplication, which achieves up to 8 million IOPS and a latency of 0.1ms, representing one of the highest performing mid-range storage systems available in the industry.”

Inspur steps up with Innovative Liquid Cooling Technology at SC19

Inspur is showcasing new HPC systems with Natural Circulation Evaporative Cooling technology this week at SC19. Inspur combines high-density computing servers with natural circulation evaporative cooling technology, which is more reliable, energy-saving, and easier to deploy than other liquid cooling solutions. “Inspur collaborated with the Institute of Electrical Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), combining Inspur’s leading supercomputing servers with IEECAS’s natural circulation evaporative cooling technology to achieve an efficient, reliable and energy saving liquid cooling HPC system.”

Inspur Launches Open AI Computing Solution

Today Inspur announced a pair of AI-technology driven open computing systems designed to improve the flexibility in customer deployments. “The OAI specification—led by Baidu, Facebook, and Microsoft in the OCP (Open Compute Project) community—unifies the technical specifications of the accelerator module and simplifies the design complexity of the AI accelerator system, thereby shortening time to market for the hardware system.”

Large-Scale Optimization Strategies for Typical HPC Workloads

Liu Yu from Inspur gave this talk at PASC19. “Ensuring performance of applications running on large-scale clusters is one of the primary focuses in HPC research. In this talk, we will show our strategies on performance analysis and optimization for applications in different fields of research using large-scale HPC clusters.”

PASC19 has posted its Full Conference Program. The event takes place June 12-14 in Zurich, Switzerland. “PASC19 is the sixth edition of the PASC Conference series, an international platform for the exchange of competences in scientific computing and computational science, with a strong focus on methods, tools, algorithms, application challenges, and novel techniques and usage of high performance computing.”

Radio Free HPC reviews the ASC19 Student Cluster Competition

In this podcast, the Radio Free HPC looks at the recent ASC Student Cluster Competition in Dalien, China.
